Tools
Small tools that finish the job in the tab you opened them in.
Utilities we needed and could not find a decent version of. Each one runs in your browser, has its source published, and keeps working when you turn the network off.
- Authenticator Secret ExtractorReads a Google Authenticator “Export accounts” QR code and gives you the base32 secret key, the issuer, the account name and the otpauth link for every account inside it. Handles the multi-code exports Google produces for long lists.Open the tool
- Private Image ConverterConverts images between twenty-six formats entirely in your browser: PNG, JPG, WebP, AVIF and GIF, the HEIC an iPhone saves photos as, and the TIFF, Photoshop, camera raw and OpenEXR files that nothing else on a phone or a work laptop will open. It reads the file itself and uses the decoder already built into your machine, so nothing leaves the tab. A single file build you can download and keep is published alongside it.Open the tool
Why these exist
A tool that handles a credential should not need a server.
Most of what is on this list replaces something you would otherwise paste into a text box on a site you have never heard of. That is the part worth fixing. A page that receives your data can log it, and from the outside there is no way to tell whether it did.
So these run where you already are. The work happens in your browser, the source is published so the claim can be checked instead of believed, and each one ships as a single file you can download and open with the network switched off. That last part is the test: if it still works offline, nothing was being sent anywhere.
They are small on purpose. Each does one job we needed done, and we published it rather than leaving it in a scratch directory. No account, nothing to install, no paid tier.
